Edit resources:
Note: Always make a backup copy before edit a game file.
Go to the installed game directory, then enter to the "data" folder
and locate the proto.xml file. Open the proto.xml file with a text
editor. If you can write into this file, you have to uncheck the
"Read Only" attribute proto.xml file - properties in Windows Explorer.
Search for the text "CrateofFood".
The first entries you will see the "InitialResourceCount" tag.
Modify the count to whatever desired. Example:
The default value is "100.000" each of the resources. You can change
the "100" to "9999.000".
You can search for CrateofFood, CrateofCoin, CrateofWood,
CrateofFoodLarge, CrafteofCoinLarge, and CrateofWoodLarge
and you can modify those values also.
Pull resources out of the crate instantly:
Search for "Settler" in the "proto.xml" file and find the "GatherCrate" tag.
Modify the value to whatever you want. (Example "99999").
Invincible units:

Go to the installed game directory, then enter to the "data" folder
and locate the proto.xml file. Open the proto.xml file with a text

My Documents/My Games/Age of Empires 3/Savegame folder.
Open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file with a text editor.
Search for "<level&qt;". You should find something like this:
<level&qt;xx</level&qt;
Type in 99 instead of xx, then save the file. Run the game and play
a skirmish. Now you are level 99!
Unlimited Unlock Points in Single player

Locate the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml in your
My Documents/My Games/Age of Empires 3/Savegame folder.
Open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file with a text editor.
Search for "<skillpoints&qt;". You should find something like this:
<skillpoints&qt;xx</skillpoints&qt;
Type in 999 instead of xx, then save the file. Run the game and play
a skirmish, then go to manage your city and you will now have 999
unlock points.
Maximum card/deck unlock points in Single Player:
Open the sp_yourcityname_homecity.xml file with a text editor.
Search for the line "<numpropunlocksearned&qt;".
You should find something like this:
<numpropunlocksearned&qt;xx</numpropunlocksearned&qt;
Type in 999 instead of xx, then save the file. Run the game and play
a skirmish, then go to where you manage your decks and now you will
have 999 unlock points.
